We have loads of problems because people park their cars and bicycles on the access way to the railway depot.
Leave your cars elsewhere and walk to KTS!!
Put your bikes directly in front of KTS and not on the access road!
How to walk or cycle here from the train station
- leave the train station through the western exit
- turn left, down Wentzingerstrasse
- at the end of the street continue straight ahead on the footpath
- after about 20m pass through the fence and continue along the path along the railway tracks, crossing the river
- keep following the path turning left through the passage under the bridge and swinging right
- follow the path along the railway tracks until you reach KTS
- it takes you about 15-20 minutes to walk
Using public transport

- take tram no. 5 or bus line 11
- exit the tram or bus at the Pressehaus stop
- turn towards the building of Badische Zeitung
- turn left and pass under the railway bridge
- directly after the bridge ascend the stairs to your left
- continue straight for about 50m to KTS
By car coming from autobahn A5
- take the exit Freiburg Mitte (Centre) and drive towards Freiburg on the main road
- take the exit Stühlinger, Haslach, turning right towards Haslach
- continue straight until you reach the tram line, then turn right into Carl-Kistner-Strasse
- on the right hand side you find public parking sites
- follow the tram line on foot towards Eschholzstrasse
- pass the Pressehaus tram stop
- turn left under the railway bridge
- directly after the bridge ascend the stairs to your left
- continue straight for about 50m to KTS
By car coming from the south on B3 federal highway (Bundesstrasse)
- keep going on B3
- just before the building of Badische Zeitung turn left into Eschholzstrasse
- next turn left into Carl-Kistner-Strasse
- on the right hand side you find public parking sites
- follow the tram line on foot towards Eschholzstrasse
- pass the Pressehaus tram stop
- turn left under the railway bridge
- directly after the bridge ascend the stairs to your left
- continue straight for about 50m to KTS
By car coming from the north on B3 federal highway (Bundesstrasse)
- follow B3 until Komturplatz
- turn right, direction Donaueschingen
- straight ahead, past Hauptfriedhof (graveyard), through Stühlinger quarter, crossing the tram line, crossing the river Dreisam, keep going straight ahead and turn left when reaching the next tram line into Carl-Kistner-Strasse
- on the right hand side you find public parking sites
- follow the tram line on foot towards Eschholzstrasse
- pass the Pressehaus tram stop
- turn left under the railway bridge
- directly after the bridge ascend the stairs to your left
- continue straight for about 50m to KTS
By car coming from the east (direction of Donaueschingen) on federal highway B31 (Bundesstrasse)
- always straight ahead on B31
- after some time turn left towards Colmar/Lörrach
- at the next big junction, turn right, still towards Colmar/Lörrach
- after the second railway bridge turn right into Eschholzstrasse
- next turn left into Carl-Kistner-Strasse
- on the right hand side you find public parking sites
- follow the tram line on foot towards Eschholzstrasse
- pass the Pressehaus tram stop
- turn left under the railway bridge
- directly after the bridge ascend the stairs to your left
- continue straight for about 50m to KTS
Important: There are no parking spaces at KTS! Please use the public parking spaces at Carl-Kistner-Strasse or Lörracher Strasse!
